Terms for ordering food and using the Halal Munchi marketplace.

1. Who we are
Halal Munchi is a marketplace that connects you with halal restaurants and self-employed couriers. We take your order, pass it to the restaurant and arrange delivery. The restaurant prepares the food and is responsible for it.
2. Your account
You need an account to order. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
3. Orders and prices
Prices, delivery fees and any service fee are shown before you pay. Delivery offers or discounts apply only when displayed in the app. Once a restaurant starts preparing your order it usually cannot be cancelled — contact support and we’ll do what we can. This does not affect your statutory rights.
4. Halal promise
Every restaurant on Halal Munchi tells us their halal credentials before going live, and couriers agree not to carry alcohol or non-halal items with your order. If something looks wrong, report it and we’ll investigate.
5. Delivery
Estimated times are our best guess, not a guarantee — traffic and kitchen queues happen. Please be reachable at the number on your order so the courier can find you.
6. Allergies
Kitchens handle many ingredients and cross-contamination can happen. If you have an allergy, contact the restaurant before ordering. Please tell the restaurant about your requirements and do not rely solely on app descriptions.
7. Refunds
If an order arrives late, cold, incomplete or wrong, please raise a support ticket as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours, with a photo where possible. We assess refunds or re-delivery case by case. This request period does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
8. Promo codes
Codes are single-use per customer unless we say otherwise, cannot be combined unless stated, and may be withdrawn in accordance with their stated conditions.
9. Restaurants and couriers
Restaurants set their own menus, prices and opening hours. Couriers may deliver as self-employed contractors and are responsible for applicable tax, licensing and insurance obligations according to their circumstances and the law.
10. Behaviour
Please treat restaurant staff and couriers respectfully. We may restrict accounts used for abuse, fraud or repeated deliberately false refund claims.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Where changes materially affect your use of the service, we will notify you in the app before they take effect.
